“A strong man takes action in the face of difficulty. He may feel pain or fear, but he doesn’t let those emotions paralyze him. He endures, with gratefulness, humility and none shall know of his pain really when you see him, when you hear him speak, when he loves and when you feel his positive vibe. All who meet him, admire him, some will hate him, some will spread words to trap him and some make fools of themselves.

His words that flow shakes the earth they walk on. When people meet him he fires them up, their hearts race and pounds to find him fascinating and they grow to love and admire him. They don’t know why and how he does it but whatever he does, he makes them feel special and loved. They want more of him.

Positive in attitude, flowing with love, knowledge, experience that most chase him for it and women desire to learn from him and love him. Crafted from worn out tools and applying in the real world to be a master of his life. But if you really knew him, gone past his playfulness and all the labels most people try to put on him, if he told you for real of what he endured without complaint, it would make much of one’s struggle tear asunder. It will give one rising hope in their own life and the path to win as well.

They wonder how did he survive? Where did he get such mind and strength from? How did he survive all that while many would have quit, given up, and even killed themselves. People will wonder why he is like that when they discover his true journey especially when they hear from others of his story, his struggle, the many scars from battles of life and yet he grew to be a man who doesn’t complain.

Life threw every hook and he just got stronger. When he lost he never mentioned a word but rather kept his losses to himself and learnt to win in life. Yes, he celebrates life, nature and humanity. He grew to stop complaining and overthinking as most do due to fear and excuses to not take action.

When he succeeded he didn’t feel he is better than others as such he look down on people. Instead, he felt more empathy, love and compassion for humanity, respect for life and awed at how nature keeps on giving.

Even when he succeeded and even when he is asked for knowledge he speaks and writes with fire, passion, conviction, courage but also with an understanding that he is equal to all. That he is the same as all in that he is limited in time on this earth, limited time for his youth and health. Nor is he greater than any man, woman and child.

Though he has the Seeing Eye, looking further than most could because his path was a path most do not travel by. He grew to be a man who is grateful for all he receives, became resourceful because hardship was a tool that forged him to be creative and a dreamer who makes things happen. He didn’t show feelings regarding hardship as a curse.

He learnt to embrace and turn it all into an opportunity. The world was then all his and as he bettered himself, those around him were also enriched. He became a man of value rather than a man of success.

Beneath the endless gaze of the African sun, where the wind whispers secrets through rustling grasslands, lies Rumuwobeh the village that birthed NnaNna. A boy with eyes the colour of rich earth and a spirit as boundless as the savanna sky, NnaNna was born with an insatiable curiosity and a fierce will.

This collection of 12 poems is more than just a chronicle of his adventures. It’s a symphony composed with the vibrant threads of his experiences, each one a whispered song echoing across generations. Within these pages, you’ll encounter the challenges that tested his strength, the falls that taught him resilience, and the triumphs that ignited the flame of greatness within him.

You’ll witness NnaNna grapple with the universal struggles of childhood — the bittersweet pangs of first love, the sting of betrayal and injustice, the yearning for adventure, and the search for one’s place in the world. Yet, amidst the trials, you’ll also discover a heart overflowing with compassion, a mind teeming with curiosity, and a spirit that refuses to be broken.

As you journey with NnaNna, you’ll witness the wisdom of the elders etched on weathered faces, the compelling rhythm of the egelege drum awakening ancestral memories, and the boundless beauty of a land steeped in tradition. But most importantly, you’ll witness the birth of a legend.

These poems are not just NnaNna’s story; they are an invitation for you the reader to embark on your own adventure. They are a call to embrace the whispers of Africa, to tap into your own indomitable spirit, and to discover the strength and resilience that lies within you. So, turn the page, step into NnaNna’s world, and let his journey illuminate your own path to greatness”.
